Thoughts on construction law from Christopher G. Hill, Virginia construction lawyer, LEED AP, mediator, and member of the Virginia Legal Elite in Construction Law

About Musings

Christopher G. Hill, LEED API am a solo construction lawyer, Virginia Supreme Court certified General District Court mediator, and LEED AP in Richmond, Virginia.  I have been nominated and elected by my peers to Virginia’s Legal Elite in the Construction Law category on multiple occasions (2007 through 2023). I have also twice been named to the Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars (2011 and 2012) and the Virginia Super Lawyers in the Construction Litigation category (2017 through 2024).  I help my clients with mechanic’s liens, payment bond claims, “green” building issues, occupational safety (both VOSH and OSHA), contract consulting and review, and general risk management for all levels of construction professionals from general contractors to subcontractors to material men and suppliers.  Check out my firm website for more detailed information about my construction law practice, including providing arbitration and mediation services.

I appreciate your interest and hope that you find the topics on which I write to be informative and helpful to you, whether you are an attorney, construction professional, or just someone with an interest in the landscape of the construction industry, particularly in Virginia.

I also have an excellent group of guest contributors for Guest Post Fridays should you be interested in other perspectives on the construction and legal world.

If you are interested in the construction dispute process, I have a quick series of “Musings” on this topic that I hope will be of interest.

Please check out the links to other sites that I find interesting on topics more or less related to what I write about here. I do value your opinion, please join the conversation and comment or e-mail me with any thoughts or suggestions that you may have, the more the better.

If you are interested in construction law topics, you should subscribe, either by e-mail (through the sign-up box to the right) or through your favorite RSS reader to stay up to date without having to pull up Musings daily (although I encourage you to do that as well).

Thanks again for visiting, I look forward to continuing the conversation.
