Musings Has “Outcourced” this Friday’s Post

This week, instead of a Guest Post Friday post here at Construction Law Musings, I am again featured at Small Firm Innovation.  This month’s theme over at SFI is Outsourcing the Small Stuff and I am a big advocate of doing just that.

Without further ado, here’s a taste of my thoughts on the subject:

When I left “medium law” (a 20 lawyer firm here in Richmond, VA) over 3 years ago now, I knew that the days of just trying to bill hours and practice my construction law craft without an eye for the bottom line would change. Suddenly I was working without a net and the prospect was both exciting and overwhelming. I was suddenly not just a lawyer but a business owner. I needed office space and possibly employees.  I needed to keep track of trust accounting and, importantly, bring some money home.

For the rest, you’ll have to read Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff. Outsource It! over at the Small Firm Innovation blog.
